highchair and rice cereal

We finally got the highchair out for Bryant, because he hated being down in the jumparoo during meals and wanted to be up at our level.  We also started rice cereal.  As with every child, he was very unsure of the rice cereal, and most of it ended up being spit out.  Bennett and Miles loved that he was eating "real food" now, and really embraced wanting to help feed him.
 Big boy!!

Bennett begged for me to get the highchair out.  She was so excited!

 First bite!

Swatting at the bite Bennett tried to give him

Miles was so excited to be a helper!

Can I please be done now mom?

Last Day of Kindergarten and Butterfly Class

I can't believe Bennett is finished with Kindergarten! This year flew by! After a little adjustment in the beginning, Bennett settled in nicely, made some good friends and had a great Kindergarten year! On the last day of school, they had a slideshow and performed some songs for the parents.  Bennett was the "narrator" in the Humpty Dumpty skit.

Bennett was front and center for the songs and did a nice job!

 and her teacher Mrs. Skaggs

Here is Miles with his teachers, Ms. Amy and Ms. Jan.  They are two of the most caring women I've ever met.  Miles will truly miss them next year, as they gave him a wonderful introduction to school.  He had a fun year and really came out of his shy little shell. I love that Ms. Jan would ask him, "Who are you today Miles?" when he walked into the classroom, knowing he would be a different superhero every day!

Planting seeds

We planted our sunflowers again this year, and Bennett chose some Morning Glories to plant as well.  They were very excited about it and we already have some sprouts!

Miles planted a pumpkin seed in a cup at school, so we planted that as well.  We'll see what happens!

5 months

Bryant is 5 months! He has really changed a lot in the last month!

Once he got over RSV and a perforated ear drum (poor guy), his demeanor changed so much and he's back to being an extremely happy baby! His sleep has good nights and bad nights, but often he will do a 6 hour stretch.  He usually goes down around 7:30, then I dream feed him around 10:30 when I go to bed.  He will often then make it until 4:30 or 5.  After another feeding, he will then sleep until 7 or 7:30.

Bryant finally started rolling over! However, he only rolls from back to tummy.  When he gets to his tummy he just gets mad! He also likes to sit up.  He leans forward in his car seat and bouncy seat wanting to sit up taller.  However, he still needs support.  As you can see in some of these chair pictures, he often tips forward.

He has also recently found his feet and will now chew on his toes! (always a little gross to me, but also pretty funny).

His naps are getting a little more regular.  He now often takes 2 longer naps, plus a really short one around dinner time.  Poor guy is always on the go though, so he often sleeps in his carseat.  I guess that's just life as the 3rd kid!

He is drooling and chewing on everything! I'm sure some teeth will be coming in soon.  He also really checks out toys.  You can just see his little brain working as he turns things around and examines them.

He loves to smile and giggle and he's so ticklish.  He's such a fun little guy!

Although this picture is blurry, it's classic Bryant.  Grabbing his toes and chewing on fingers!

Bennett's birthday

Bennett is 6! She was soooo excited for her birthday she could hardly sleep.  Being 6 is really fun! Even though her birthday was on a Friday, she was off school that day because her teachers were screening the incoming Kindergarteners for next year.  So Bennett got to come to the end of year picnic with Babaloo at Miles's preschool which was fun for everyone.  Bennett isn't a huge fan of cake, so she chose to have donuts for breakfast and ice cream.  Works for me! We even put a candle in her bowl of ice cream and she was happy as could be! We are going to have a party after school gets out, so more on that later!

Bennett got to wear free dress to school on Thursday to celebrate her birthday!

Bennett opened presents in the morning, then Grandma and Pa came over to wish her Happy Birthday too.

Legos and Lego chapter books from Grandma and Pa!

 Having fun with Babaloo!

Miles was really rocking out on his drum!

I loved how they were dancing together!

Gotta love the TP shooter!

Birthday ice cream!

Bennett started working on her jewelry box mosaics.  She was very diligent.

She has also already read 9 chapter books that she received for her birthday.  She's been a reading machine lately!

Daddy night and outdoor fun

Bryant has a new contraption to hang out in outside.  I think it's really going to come in handy this summer.  So far he likes it!

Miles had "Daddy Night" at school.  The boys had a great time and brought home lots of fun crafts.

Wedding Weekend!

Meredith and Chris got married!! It was such a fun weekend! The rehearsal dinner was lovely, wedding day was beautiful despite the rain, and it was even followed up by a yummy brunch on Sunday! We owe so much thanks to Nana and Papa for coming in town and helping with the kids.  With Brandon and me, plus the two big kids in the wedding, we truly couldn't have done it without them carting kids back and forth and taking care of Bryant.  Bryant still isn't taking a bottle, so that was interesting feeding him throughout the wedding day, but we made it work! Bennett and Miles did a great job walking down the aisle.  Miles took holding his pillow very seriously.  He wouldn't put it down the entire ceremony or on the trolley.  I was proud of him for doing such a good job.  I think it was because he had Bennett, the flower girl pro, at his side! I only have a few pictures so far, many more to come!!
On the way to the rehearsal.

An attempt to make it a family photo- oh well, we tried!

Bennett got to get her hair and makeup done with the bride and bridesmaids.  An almost 6-year-old's dream come true!

 Miles loved the trolley!
