Such a busy Sunday!

Poor Bennett has had a variety of illnesses to start her Kindergarten year, including the stomach flu all through the night on Friday.  After a 4 1/2 hour nap on Saturday, she seemed to turn the corner and finally feel better.  That's good, because Sunday was a BIG day!

I got up at 6:00, got the kids up and in the car to drive to St. Charles to watch Brandon race in the MO Cowbell 1/2 marathon.  He did better than expected and set a PR at 1:19.47.  We almost missed him because we weren't expecting him that soon! We were SUPER proud of his big accomplishment!

Bennett and Lilian had fun playing while we were waiting for their daddies to finish the race!

Miles and Lukas managed to stay busy poking bugs on a tree and playing in dirt for at least an hour while we were at the race!

After that, we headed to Herman Farm in St. Charles, where we were able to go on a tractor ride out to the field to cut our own pumpkins off the vine.  It was a fun experience that none of us had done before! So much more fun than just picking a pumpkin out of a pile!

 This slide was REALLY fast!

 Heading out to the field.

 Daddy found his pumpkin first!

 Miles found a BIG pumpkin!!

Bennett thought her pumpkin was the perfect shape to carve a crown into!

Mommy and her 2 pumpkins! ;)

We then headed to New Town for a yummy lunch.  After a quick rest, Bennett had a soccer game, and we were a little disappointed by a Cardinal playoff loss.  We also enjoyed a yummy dinner with Grandma Joje and Pa.  Everyone was very ready for an early bedtime! I think Brandon and I were even in bed by 9:45!

It was a wonderful October day!
