Recent pics

I just downloaded the pictures from my phone, so here are a few recent pictures.
Nana and Papa came to visit and we had a great time! The kids just love having them here, and Brandon and I even got to sneak away for some sushi all by ourselves! Thanks for visiting!!

Bennett wearing an adorable tutu that Aunt Helen made her!

Bennett is really proud of the fact that she just learned how to braid! She's been practicing and practicing on her Barbies and dolls, and is really quite good now (much better than this picture).

Bathtime fun!

Love this picture! Bennett dressed Brandon up, and then the boys were "pretending to sleep."

Being a patient little brother while his sister did gymnastics.

Post-gymnastics class

Today Miles had his first true playdate (without his sister home and without a friend's mom being here) with his friend Greer. The boys had a lot of fun together!

Digging in rocks...gotta love boys!

Super Miles!

Florida

We went to Florida in February. I'm finally getting around to posting about it. Better late than never I guess? We had so many pictures, I hardly knew where to begin! So here are some of the good ones. Thanks so much to Mom and Dad for having us. We had such a great time!

Miles and Pa on the shuttle to go to the beach.
Miles thought sitting in a big boy seat was cool!
Miles spent probably the first hour we were there sitting under the cabana digging away! He absolutely loved the sand (and all the tools that went with it)!
Bennett also loved the sand!
She quickly recruited Brandon to help build a sand castle masterpiece!
They eventually got Miles to go join them down by the water.
One of my very favorite pictures!
After about 2 hours, we decided to head back to the condo on the shuttle to have some lunch.
The first few days, Bennett had some serious regression and forgot that she knew how to swim! (which prompted me to call and sign her up for swimming lessons again!)
Murph came!!
Miles was also slow to warm up to the pool, and spent the first couple days sitting on the side playing with buckets and shovels. It looks like he's telling her quite a story in this picture!

My little man and me.
Miles soon remembered that he liked the water, and before long was flying through the air and splashing away in the water!
Attempt at a family picture...Shot 1...Brandon and me...not bad.
Shot 2...with Bennett...decent.
Shot 3...whole family...ya, not so good!
The girls
One day mom was nice enough to stay with the kids while the rest of us drove to Sanibel for a 1/2 day fishing excursion. It was a gorgeous day and we caught tons of fish. Couldn't have asked for much better! Here's a great picture of Dad and Brandon.
Dad with a nice sized fish!
Two at once...we can clearly see who the more proficient fisher(wo)man is, right?
okay, okay, he caught some big ones too!
Two dolphins followed right behind our boat for awhile which was so neat!
Meredith and our guide (who completely reminded me of Jeff Still!)
Nice fish, Mere!
Across the street they had a giant inflatable water slide set up. Bennett begged to go on it. Once we got there, she was a little bit nervous, but she went down a few times and was proud of herself!
Some down time on the porch with my girl!
Miles and his tiny trains
We spent a lot of time looking at the alligator that we spotted in the lake behind the condo.
We tried out the Ritz pool one day but the water was too cold for the kids, so we ended up playing at the playground instead. Miles spent his time there warming up and hunting for "coots" in his toes!
Bennett was also freezing after her swim. Not sure why that water was so cold!
Fortunately, Bennett eventually remembered that she knew how to swim and then took off like a fish!
It's fun to do bedtime books with Murph!
Miles and Pa spent a lot of time on the ipad!
Cute picture of Bennett swimming with Grandma.
Miles loved climbing in and out and jumping off this ladder!
There's my good swimmer!
With Grandma Joje and Pa.
Brandon turned the big 3-1 while we were in Florida, so we all went out to a nice dinner to celebrate.

Blowing out his candle!
