Bryant's Baptism

Nana and Papa came in town for a visit, and we took the opportunity to also celebrate Bryant's Baptism on Sunday.  Bryant was so lucky and blessed to have so many family members come celebrate with us.  Fr. Mike did an excellent job of Baptizing 3 babies at once and still making it feel personal.  Bryant chose to cry for much of the ceremony- it's hard to make it all the way through Mass and a Baptism without any problems! ;) Thanks to Katie and Chris for being such excellent Godparents!

We had everyone over to our house afterwards for lunch and a little party.

Thanks to Nana and Papa for all of your playing and baby holding while you were here too.  All of the kids just loved your visit and so did we! :)

6 week checkup

I'm a little behind! Last Thursday, my chunky monkey had his 6 week checkup.  He was:

23"- 75%
13# 3.2oz- 95%

Chunky monkey indeed!!

Christmas tree, Christmas Eve and Christmas morning

This is out of order, but I wanted to go back and get a few Christmas pictures up.  This was a crazy Christmas with a newborn, but it was so fun to see it through Bennett and Miles's eyes.  It truly was a magical Christmas year.  We have lots more pictures from our other Christmas events: breakfast with Santa, and our celebrations with family, that I will hopefully get up here eventually.  Here's a start at least!

When Bryant was only 3 days old, we went to pick out our Christmas tree at our church Christmas tree lot.  Miles had to wear his super cape to pick it out.

Love this one of the boys being strong after getting the tree on top of our car.

Nana and Papa let the kids open the gifts from them on Christmas Eve, which was great since there was so much anticipation that day! They loved their Disney Princes and Jake ship!

After we got home from dinner at Algonquin, the kids put out cookies, milk and a carrot for Santa and the reindeer, and then sprinkled reindeer food in the yard for the reindeer!

Christmas morning they turned the corner and...

Miles couldn't believe what he saw! Santa came! They were so excited!!

Miles is starting to get into Super heroes, so he was excited to find Batman in his stocking!

 Bryant's 1st Christmas!

This mermaid tail that you swim with was the one thing Bennett asked Santa for.  She was so happy to find it under the tree!

Bryant got a cute monkey hat from Santa!

Daddy made this cool picture for Bennett's room!

 Brandon's new "big boy" briefcase

Miles was genuinely excited to find his Bob the Builder hat and vest.  This was the one thing that he asked Santa for!

Swoosh!

1 month

Bryant is 1 month today!! He's growing like a weed!!

Life

Bryant slept in his crib for the first time two nights ago. The first night went pretty well, last night, not so much as he decided to just be awake and hanging out from 1:30-4:30 and then again from 5-5:45. At least he wasn't screaming!

The big kids are finding ways to combat the winter cooped-up feeling. I really love their creativity! Lately, they have been into making forts, and they even turned Bryant's tummy time mat into a train! Thank goodness for Christmas gifts, too! Our house literally looks like a Christmas bomb exploded in here! Here are a couple pictures of miles playing with his early birthday gift from his Godfather. Thanks Bubs! It's a big hit!!

4 weeks

Bryant is already 4 weeks old! He is a very sweet little guy with a great temperament. He is such a cuddle bug! He has also started smiling quite a bit, although we are usually not too sure what he's smiling about! His neck is really strong and he likes tummy time much more than our other two did. However, nights have not been so hot. He will typically go only 2.5-3 hour stretches between feelings. We've had a couple 4 hour stretches which were great! The only problem is that he's so loud! He grunts, groans and strains for hours on end in his sleep, so not a lot of sleep is being had by mom and dad!

Bennett and Miles continue to love him like crazy! I've even braved the grocery store with all 3, and multiple errands with the boys, and so far so good!
