Bennett's birthday

Bennett is 6! She was soooo excited for her birthday she could hardly sleep.  Being 6 is really fun! Even though her birthday was on a Friday, she was off school that day because her teachers were screening the incoming Kindergarteners for next year.  So Bennett got to come to the end of year picnic with Babaloo at Miles's preschool which was fun for everyone.  Bennett isn't a huge fan of cake, so she chose to have donuts for breakfast and ice cream.  Works for me! We even put a candle in her bowl of ice cream and she was happy as could be! We are going to have a party after school gets out, so more on that later!

Bennett got to wear free dress to school on Thursday to celebrate her birthday!

Bennett opened presents in the morning, then Grandma and Pa came over to wish her Happy Birthday too.

Legos and Lego chapter books from Grandma and Pa!

 Having fun with Babaloo!

Miles was really rocking out on his drum!

I loved how they were dancing together!

Gotta love the TP shooter!

Birthday ice cream!

Bennett started working on her jewelry box mosaics.  She was very diligent.

She has also already read 9 chapter books that she received for her birthday.  She's been a reading machine lately!

Daddy night and outdoor fun

Bryant has a new contraption to hang out in outside.  I think it's really going to come in handy this summer.  So far he likes it!

Miles had "Daddy Night" at school.  The boys had a great time and brought home lots of fun crafts.

Wedding Weekend!

Meredith and Chris got married!! It was such a fun weekend! The rehearsal dinner was lovely, wedding day was beautiful despite the rain, and it was even followed up by a yummy brunch on Sunday! We owe so much thanks to Nana and Papa for coming in town and helping with the kids.  With Brandon and me, plus the two big kids in the wedding, we truly couldn't have done it without them carting kids back and forth and taking care of Bryant.  Bryant still isn't taking a bottle, so that was interesting feeding him throughout the wedding day, but we made it work! Bennett and Miles did a great job walking down the aisle.  Miles took holding his pillow very seriously.  He wouldn't put it down the entire ceremony or on the trolley.  I was proud of him for doing such a good job.  I think it was because he had Bennett, the flower girl pro, at his side! I only have a few pictures so far, many more to come!!
On the way to the rehearsal.

An attempt to make it a family photo- oh well, we tried!

Bennett got to get her hair and makeup done with the bride and bridesmaids.  An almost 6-year-old's dream come true!

 Miles loved the trolley!

haircut and the Hulk

Bennett was begging for short hair, so we finally did it! She is so proud of her new haircut, and I think it looks really cute! Perfect for summer, and she loves that there are no more bad tangles!

Miles is really obsessed with superheroes! Here he is in his new Hulk shirt, and he's showing his muscles- obviously!

Bennett's track meet

Bennett had a track meet this morning.  It was for 3 local schools, St. Peter, St. Gerard and Ste. Gen.  There are only a couple Kindergarten girls participating in track, and everyone else is older.  Bennett is by far the tiniest one there, but she did great! She had a lot of fun too.  She participated in the 50m, 100m and 200m running races, and the standing long jump.

 Getting ready in the bullpen

 She spotted us!

Ready to go in the 50

 Look at that game face!

Daddy/Daughter Dance and 4 months

Last weekend, Brandon and Bennett went to the Daddy/Daughter Dance at her school.  They met a group of girls and their dads at a restaurant first for dinner, then headed to the dance.  Bennett had so much fun!

Bryant turned 4 months on the 6th.  Lately, he has started reaching for objects and pulling them.  He is also drooling like crazy! He will hopefully be getting some teeth soon.  He constantly has something in his mouth.  He has still been getting over his RSV type illness.  Now it has just moved to some post nasal drip but the poor guy has been waking up a couple times a night with giant coughing fits.  Before that, he was sleeping like a champ.  So hopefully we will get back to that soon!

His 4 months stats:
Height: 25.5"- 75%
Weight: 17lbs, 2oz. - 90%

Bennett insisted on jumping in on the photo shoot!
